The merger between the Wisconsin Bankers Association and Community Bankers of Wisconsin closed on February 27, 2015. As a result, the new WBA will now provide the membership with a unified offering of property and liability insurance products through a single insurance agency owned by WBA, Midwest Bankers Insurance Services (MBIS). 

For bankers who are unfamiliar with MBIS, the company began in 2011 as an insurance agency owned by WBA and the Minnesota Bankers Associations, working exclusively for the financial institutions industry in the upper Midwest. As an independent agency, MBIS has access to a variety of insurance providers to help tailor a plan to each institution’s specific needs.
